You need to:
- Find Your Property
- Get a Lawyer to do the required legal searches and manage all the necessary paperwork for the purchase.
- Get Your Greek Tax Number (AFM).
- Get a notary to handle the completion of the acquisition contract.
- Pay your Taxes for the property tax transfer in Greece, which has been set at 3%.
It is not necessary to open a Greek Bank account when buying a property in Greece. We always suggest to open a small account for the small property expenses you may have yearly.
